With regard to installation, use and the fuel used, the national, regional and local regulations should always be observed. To guarantee the safety and functionality of the fireplace, always follow the operating instructions unless the above-mentioned regulations state otherwise.

The GENERAL FIRE PROTECTION REGULATIONS MUST ALWAYS BE OBSERVED!

Read and observe the following safety regulations:

  • Never light the fire with petrol or with other substances unsuitable for this purpose
  • .
  • Keep barbecue lighters and cigarette lighters out of the reach of children
  • .
  • Never leave children unattended by the fire
  • .
  • Do not keep flammable materials or liquids in the immediate vicinity of the base of the fireplace
  • .
  • When handling hot grill surfaces, hold them by the wooden handles or use heat-resistant protective gloves.
  • .
  • The bottom of the fireplace, the body of the ash pan and the separate ash pan become extremely hot during use. During use, do not touch the unprotected parts without heat-resistant protective gloves.
  • Make sure that the fireplace is securely fastened to its base and never lean against the fireplace or the smoke bonnet.

  • The fireplace is not intended for burning waste. Never use disposable crockery, plastic, cardboard or similar materials from which burning flakes can fly into the environment.

  • Avoid burning splashy types of wood, such as fir, birch or alder. Besides wood, coal or briquettes can also be used.
  • Always use appropriate fire. The height of the flames must not exceed the centre between the fireplace and the flue. Too large a fire and too high temperatures can damage the fireplace and its surroundings.
  • Ensure that the necessary fire-fighting equipment is available near the place of use and instruct users on the correct behaviour in a dangerous situation.

  • Do not start cooking until the surface of the fuel used has turned to ash and the possible odours have subsided during first use.
